TOURNAMENT RULES – GOOD LUCK! 

 
FIELDS: Fields and maps are listed HERE. Fields will be assigned by the tournament director. ANY SCHOOL WHOSE HOME FIELD IS NOT AVAILABLE ON ANY OF THE TOURNAMENT DATES MUST NOTIFY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR IMMEDIATELY.
GUARANTEED NUMBER OF GAMES: All teams are guaranteed 5 games. Other than the championship bracket, 3rd place game, or consolation championship game, the tournament director reserves the right to prevent teams from the same league playing each other.
TIMES: Weekday games will start at 3:00PM; Saturday games at 11:00 AM: night games at 7:00 PM; unless otherwise arranged. The tournament director reserves final authority on game times.
GROUND RULES: The home team is responsible for setting the ground rules.
GAME BALLS: Before EACH game BOTH COACHES will provide the plate umpire with at least TWO baseballs
GAMES: If a game ends in a tie, the winning team will be determined by the following method:
  1. Team with most total bases
  2. 2nd tiebreaker is fewest walks and hit batters
All of the above must be carried out in the presence of both head coaches immediately after the game is concluded. The home scorebook is the official scorebook. The tiebreaker system only determines advancement in the bracket – the result of the contest is tie for both schools official season record.
PUBLICITY: The coach of the winning team is responsible for reporting the results to the newspapers: OC Register -(714)796-7804 / LA Times (213)237-5000 BOTH THE WINNING AND LOSING COACHES MUST CALL IN THEIR RESULTS TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR TO RECEIVE THEIR NEXT ROUND ASSIGNMENT.
PLAYING RULES: The National High School Baseball Alliance Rules will be used  
RAIN OUTS OR POSTPONEMENTS:
  1. Teams must play on assigned dates for tournament (refer to C.I.F. contract), weather permitting. All 5th round games will be played on the final tournament date unless agreed upon by BOTH coaches. Notify the tournament director.
  2. Home coach contact opposing coach and arrange make-up date and site.
  3. Call umpire ASAP.
  4. Call tournament director
  5. Make sure you take care of A through D.
  6. Every effort must be made to make-up game before the next round of the tournament begins.
ALL OTHER CONFLICTS AND PROBLEMS WILL BE RESOLVED BY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR
